Get Inspired!!

Everyone that knows me, has seen me pick up a new pasion. From small kines hanbadah days I've always been in the ocean. May it be learning how to dive with my dad. To cutting school to go surfing (I did that a lot !). From bodyboarding, to surfing, to what I currently have a new passion for. Stand Up Paddle surfing is now what drives me. It's a great way for me to get in the ocean up here in the San Francisco and Santa Cruz area. I'm above the water and that's a great thing. The water here is FREEZING for this tropical transplant.

Here's a vid of how I want to progress with this new passion. I look up to these guys. They're pushing the envelope with Stand Up Paddle surfing! When I watch this I just want to go to the beach and surf!!! Paddle Surf Hawaii boards is what I ride and Liquid Militia is the clothes I wear!!!

Check this little diddy out. Recently crowned Pipe Master of 2009 Taj Burrow punts in Dusty Pane's back yard in Maui. Listen to Taj. It's his first time off Oahu after all these years surfing the North Shore season. He punts and scores!!!

Well yes you are of course if you do! This is something that is not so good about Hawaii. Downtown China town after hours. This is a Market in China Town that sells fresh fruits and veggies. When the lights go out and the food is in. There's something else on the prowl. If you know where this market is. I suggest that you don't buy stuff there anymore. Unless you like little bites from rodents in your food :)

I've been seeing a lot of guys trying to go small on the Standup Boards lately. I have a Paddle Surf Hawaii 8'6" myself. Mind you it's an older shape, but at 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. That this is super hard to stand on. It's only good on real glassy days. Which is hard to come by up here in Northern Cali.

Check out this guy in Oz ripping a 8'9!!! He's about the same build as me and he's ripping!!!

This November 29th, at Waimea Valley Park a night to rock the North Shore is taking place with the 2009 Rell Sunn Aloha Jam. On the stage to perform so far are: Henry Kapono, Jake Shimabukuro, Paula Fuga, Cyril Pahanui, Kaukahi and Surfer Rob Machado. With other special guests set to make appearances on this night of aloha that will honor the Queen of Makaha for the Rell Sunn Memorial Bronze Project.
Former Hawaii Lifeguard and one of the first woman Pro-surfers, Rell Sunn is symbolized as the Queen of Makaha and the Heart of The Sea. Her children’s Menehune Surf Contest, now in its 34th year, was the starting point for many of Hawaii’s top surfers. Rell was an achieved water woman, advocate for children’s education and seniors, sports caster for ABC’s Wild World of Sports, and professional entertainer as Hula Dancer and DJ.
Traveling the world as a pro-surfer, her grace, talent and spirit of Hawaii endeared her too many. Sadly, our ambassador of Aloha passed away from breast cancer at the young age of 47. Her legacy lives on thru the Annual Menehune Surf Contest in Makaha and through the planning of a Rell Sunn Memorial Bronze to be erected in Hawaii.
The 2009 Rell Sunn Aloha Jam at Waimea Valley Park will be taking place during this year’s 2009 Van’s Triple Crown of Surfing. Many well known and “who’s who” of the surfing community will be attending to make this one of the BIGGEST nights at Van’s Triple Crown to remember. Ticket prices range from $25 to $75. Paddle Surf Hawaii 12'0" Gun/Ripper

So here I am surfing with the 12'0" Paddle Surf Hawaii Gun/Ripper on a small day in Santa Cruz. I wanted to get the feel of the board before I took it out in real surf. Let me tell you guys. THIS BOARD ROCKS!!! Can't wait to get it into some surf!

My winter toy

So here's my Paddle Surf Hawaii 9'3" ripper that I've surfing with. It's the bomb!!!
I also have a 9'8" and a 9'10" ripper on the way. I'm going to leave the 9'10" ripper back home in Hawaii so I have something to ride when I'm there. I'll have to take a picture of my 12'0" gun/ripper later. That board just rocks too!!

Just some thoughts if you're angry

First Winter Storm in Northern California

So we had the first wnter storm hit Northen California yesterday. It reaked havoc all over the bay area.

Check out that surfline was saying about the waves yesterday. They should have had someone check the surf before sending out the conditions. Ha ha ha!!! Total victory at sea!!
